Let me introduce myself and this opportunity. My name is Paul Hayman. I am an engineer and a home inspector. My home inspection business was in SW South Dakota where I built a three inspector, $250,000 per year business within a rural area with a population base of about 100,000. Several years ago, I started getting calls from banks asking if I would provide engineering certificates for permanent foundations on manufactured housing. All government guaranteed loans for manufactured housing (VA, FHA, Rural Housing) require these certifications for all new loans. The trend in the banking industry is that soon all loans, including conventional, will require these certificates. They are required for both new and used homes, as well as for refinancing loans. Potentially, there are thousands of certificates needed every year in each state. This is a very large potential market. Seeing this, I decided last year to specialize in Engineering Certificates and market them to as many states to which I can get my engineering license transferred. I am currently licensed in over two dozen states. The challenge, however, is how to collect the needed information. The answer is to develop a network of home inspectors in each state trained to do these inspections. By marketing to mortgage companies and banks the ability to provide these certificates across the entire state, we should be able to corner a large percentage of the potential market. That is where you come in.

I’m looking for a reliable network of inspectors to cover every state. There are multiple opportunities for significant income in this network, including (1) foundation certification inspections that I provide you at $100 each; (2) foundation certification inspections that you initiate through your local contacts (I will train you how to do this) at $150 each; (3) Re-inspections when recommended upgrades have been completed at $100 each.

The home inspection business follows the ups and downs of the housing industry. This business is new, is needed and is in an exponential growth curve.  How much of your local market do you want?
